20-Year-Old Nursing Student Murdered by Boyfriend in Chennai Hotel

A tragic incident occurred in Chennai, where a 20-year-old nursing student was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend at a hotel. Shockingly, the accused, known as Ashiq, shared a photo of the deceased on his WhatsApp story. The police were alerted to the situation when the victim’s friends noticed the photo on the accused’s status.

Following the tip-off from the victim’s friends, the police discovered the lifeless body of the young woman in the hotel room where the couple had been staying. It was revealed that the victim and Ashiq had been in a relationship for five years and had recently rented a room together in the city.

The victim’s absence from college for three consecutive days raised concerns among her friends. Upon investigation, they discovered that Ashiq had arrived in Chennai, booked a hotel room, and taken her with him. Their shock deepened when they found a picture of the lifeless woman as Ashiq’s WhatsApp status.

Chennai Police swiftly launched an investigation, eventually locating the body in a private hotel. CCTV footage from the area played a crucial role in apprehending Ashiq. During questioning, the accused allegedly confessed to the crime, stating that a heated argument ensued after the victim accused him of having an affair. In a fit of rage, Ashiq confessed to strangling her with his t-shirt.
