18-year-old girl crushed to death by dumper truck in Delhi: Narenderpal identified as driver

New Delhi: An 18-year-old girl lost her life in a tragic accident when a dumper truck collided with the two-wheeler she was riding on in Swaroop Nagar, northeast Delhi. The driver of the dumper truck has been identified as Narenderpal.

According to the police, the victim and her friend were returning home from the market on their two-wheeler when the incident occurred near Bhalswa Dairy. “The speeding dumper truck hit her scooter from behind, causing the victim to fall on the ground. Unfortunately, her head was crushed under the wheels of the truck, resulting in her immediate death,” said a police official.

The teenager was identified through the registration number of her two-wheeler, and her family members were notified of the tragic accident.

In recent news, the Delhi Police posted a safety appeal for two-wheeler riders on social media. The appeal featured a video showing a motorcyclist attempting a wheelie but failing, causing the bike’s tail section to hit the ground and resulting in a dangerous fall for the rider. The video, which has gained over 1 million views on various platforms, is not actually from India as the vehicles are seen driving on the right-hand side of the road.

In other news, Honda, the leading Japanese automaker, has announced a significant investment of 500 billion yen ($3.4 billion) in the production of electric motorcycles and mopeds. Honda aims to introduce 30 new electric models by 2030 and reduce the current cost of electric motorcycles by 50 percent.
