Nigerian music star D’banj, whose real name is Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, has been cleared of fraud allegations by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Nigerian Police Force.
The allegations against the artist arose from a petition filed by a businessman, Mr. Benjamin Ese, who claimed that D’banj had defrauded him of a sum of money. Ese alleged that he had invested in a business venture with the musician but did not receive any returns on his investment.
However, after a thorough investigation, both the ICPC and the police have stated that there was no evidence to substantiate the claims made against D’banj. The agencies confirmed that the allegations were baseless and lacked merit.
