Indore, Madhya Pradesh: A 30-year-old delivery man working for an online company tragically took his own life by hanging himself at his residence in the Hira Nagar police station area on Thursday. A suicide note was discovered at the scene, in which the man, identified as Amit Katariya, expressed his personal responsibility for the decision and did not disclose the exact reason behind it. The police have launched an investigation into the case.
According to the authorities, Amit resided in Gori Nagar and was employed as a delivery boy for Flipkart in Dewas Naka. His brother-in-law, Kaushal, stated that Amit’s mother made the tragic discovery when she went to offer him tea. Amit had left his wife at his sister’s house for a funeral program before ending his life. He was expected to return in the evening. Having been married for around 5 years, Amit did not have any children. He had one brother and four sisters. Interestingly, Amit had quit his job approximately 3 months ago but had recently rejoined just 10 days prior. The family is unaware of the circumstances leading to his drastic action. The police have begun their investigation, collecting statements from family members and sending Amit’s body for autopsy.
