The AEESP Community Mourns the Loss of Dr. Dionysios Dionysiou
The AEESP (Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors) community is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Dionysios (Dion) Dionysiou on November 20, 2023. Dion was a highly respected and valued member of our community, and his loss is felt by all who knew him.

Dr. Dionysiou was a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Cincinnati. Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to the field of environmental engineering, leaving behind a lasting impact on both his students and colleagues.
His dedication to research and teaching was unparalleled, and he consistently demonstrated a passion for finding innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Dion was known for his expertise in water and wastewater treatment, as well as his work on advanced oxidation processes and environmental nanotechnology.
As an active member of the AEESP, Dion played a vital role in advancing the mission of the organization. He served on various committees and was always willing to share his knowledge and expertise with fellow members.
