ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The trial of a medical transport driver accused of causing a fatal collision earlier this year in southwest Atlanta is set to begin on Thursday.
John Walker, the driver in question, is facing several charges, including homicide, speeding, and dangerous lane changing.

The incident took place on March 20 on Campbellton Road and involved a non-emergency vehicle owned by Pro Care EMS. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered the lifeless bodies of the SUV driver and a passenger inside the medical transport van. The driver of the van and a patient also sustained injuries and received medical attention.
Authorities have identified the victims as Tiquita Miles, a 32-year-old resident of Covington who was an employee of Pro Car, and Jada Whatley, a 29-year-old from East Point.
The trial will shed light on the circumstances surrounding the crash and determine the level of responsibility attributed to Walker. The prosecution is expected to present evidence supporting the charges against him, including eyewitness testimonies, accident reconstruction reports, and any potential surveillance footage.
