TANNERSVILLE, PA – Police in Pocono Township were called to a disturbance at a resort in Tannersville on Tuesday evening. The incident, which involved firearms, took place at Mountain’s Edge at Camel Back, a collection of villas near the popular Camel Back Mountain resort.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals, identified as Kyle Campbell Worrell, 39, and Leilani Ramos, 36, with gunshot wounds. Tragically, Worrell was pronounced dead at the scene, while Ramos later succumbed to her injuries at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg.

Autopsies carried out by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday revealed that Ramos’ death was caused by multiple gunshot wounds, leading to it being classified as a homicide. In contrast, Campbell-Worrell’s death, resulting from a gunshot wound to the head, was ruled as a suicide. Authorities have emphasized that this incident is an isolated case of domestic violence and does not pose a threat to the wider public.
