TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) – Police have finally apprehended a suspect who had been on the run since September 13, 2023, in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Mercedes Young. Rodney Lindley was arrested by Texarkana Texas police with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Authorities received information about Lindley’s whereabouts and swiftly located him, leading to his arrest. The incident dates back to September when officers responded to a distress call at a residence in the 3800 block of Alexander at approximately 5 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Young with a gunshot wound.
