Donald J. Amiot, 82, of Stillwater, Minnesota, Identified as Victim in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Seward County

Seward County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal two-vehicle crash in Seward County, Nebraska. Donald J. Amiot, an 82-year-old passenger of a minivan, was pronounced dead at the scene. Amiot, a resident of Stillwater, Minnesota, was involved in a collision on 238th Road, just north of the Interstate 80 exit 382 interchange.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:50 p.m. According to the preliminary investigation conducted by the Seward County Sheriff’s Office, the minivan driver, who was traveling westbound on the I-80 exit 382 off ramp, failed to yield and collided with a southbound truck on 238th Road.

Although the driver of the minivan sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bryan West for treatment, Amiot’s injuries proved fatal. The driver of the truck involved in the crash was treated at the scene and later released.

Assistance was provided by Milford Fire/Rescue and StarCare Medical Transport, who responded to the scene alongside the Seward County Sheriff’s deputies.

The tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of road safety and adhering to traffic regulations. Authorities are urging all drivers to remain cautious and attentive while on the roads to prevent such accidents.
