Boy Who Died from School Bully Incident Suffered Fractured Skull, PM Says

A post-mortem examination conducted on Wednesday revealed that the 11-year-old boy who died after being hit by a gate slammed by a school bully suffered a fractured skull and blunt force trauma to the head, according to Prime Minister [insert name here].

The victim, identified as Mark Harripaul, died at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation a few hours after the incident, which took place at the Strathspey Primary School. The 14-year-old perpetrator, described as a “school bully,” allegedly snatched away Harripaul’s rag, leading to a chase in which the gate was slammed into the victim’s head.

The incident occurred between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm on Monday. The perpetrator, who was not wearing a school uniform, reportedly hangs around the school. Harripaul’s mother, Vanie Singh, explained that the headmistress informed her of the incident and said she had cleaned the cut and sent him home.

Singh became concerned when Harripaul complained of a headache and administered a painkiller. However, later in the evening, when she tried to wake him up for dinner, he was unresponsive. Singh then took him to the hospital, where she received the devastating news of her son’s death.

The child’s father, Roy Harripaul, expressed his desire for justice and filed a report at the Vigilance Police Station. Eyewitnesses at the school confirmed the boy’s account, stating that they saw the perpetrator slam the gate into Harripaul’s head.

The grieving parents are calling for schools to implement systems to monitor who enters and leaves the premises. They are also urging other parents to instill values in their children to prevent similar incidents from happening.

Mark Harripaul was described as a respectful and kind child who took care of his younger siblings when his parents were at work. His father had planned to surprise the children with new phones for Christmas. The parents are now left mourning the loss of their beloved son and seeking justice for his untimely death.
