The police and emergency medical services from the Buddha Sothon Hospital swiftly responded to the scene. The road, which was relatively new, was left in a state of devastation. The victim, 44-year-old Boonrueng, was found with her helmet crushed under the rear wheels of the truck, indicating a fatal head injury. The impact of the collision was evident by a piece of the motorcycle’s exhaust pipe wedged under the middle wheels of the truck.

The truck, an Isuzu with registration 81-9556 Chon Buri, was carrying a full load of cement pipes. The woman’s motorcycle, a Honda Scoopy-i with registration 2กม5421 Ubon Ratchathani, was found compressed under the truck’s wheels. The truck driver, 27-year-old Thanawut, had to reverse his vehicle to allow the medical examiner to retrieve the body.

According to Thanawut, he was transporting the cement pipes from Chon Buri to the Ban Saeng district in Prachinburi. He noticed Boonrueng’s motorcycle about to enter the road and sounded his horn as a warning. However, Boonrueng still proceeded, giving him no time to brake due to the heavy load of his truck. The collision caused her head to be run over and her body to be dragged along the road before the truck could come to a stop.

Boonrueng’s husband, 35-year-old Piyanan, arrived at the scene upon hearing the news. He was seen holding onto the cloth covering his deceased wife. Piyanan revealed that his wife made a living selling grilled chicken with sticky rice and was likely on her way to the market in the city center to purchase supplies.

Footage from the truck’s front camera showed that the motorcycle cut across the lane to make a U-turn directly in the path of the truck. Despite the truck’s warning horn, the motorcycle continued, leading to the tragic collision and the rider’s death.
