On Monday, 13th November 2023, at 1:49 p.m., Morrisville police officers responded to a report of an individual sleeping in the back seat of a vehicle on Walnut Woods Drive in the 300 block. The vehicle in question was a burgundy 2011 Chrysler 200 with a North Carolina license plate.

Upon arrival, the responding officers, along with emergency medical services and fire personnel, discovered that the person inside the vehicle was deceased. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was registered to Semar Barbour, a 19-year-old resident of Durham, who had been reported missing to the Durham Police Department on 23rd October 2023. The deceased individual was subsequently identified as Mr. Barbour himself.
