Chesterfield County Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man. Authorities responded to a report of a shooting on Alfalfa Lane in Chesterfield County on Friday, November 10th, at approximately 11:45 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the victim, identified as Donavan K. Fritz II, suffering from a gunshot wound. Fritz, a local resident, was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries on November 18th, 2023.

Police detectives wasted no time in their investigation and made an arrest on Monday, November 13th. The suspect, 21-year-old Jaheim Clements, was taken into custody and charged with malicious wounding and using a firearm in the commission of a felony. Clements is currently being held without bond at Riverside Regional Jail.
