Man Arrested for Attacking Wheelchair-Bound Victim at Austin Nursing Home, Resulting in Death

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man has been arrested in connection with the death of another man at a nursing home in Austin, Texas. The Austin Police Department responded to a distress call on November 18 at The Oasis at Austin nursing home. When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the ground and not breathing. CPR was being performed on the victim, who was later identified as Baron Godwin, 68. Sadly, Godwin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police believe that Ronnie Green, 62, attacked Godwin while he was sitting in his wheelchair, leading to his death. Green was arrested and charged with injury to the elderly, a third-degree felony. He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
