Four construction workers have tragically lost their lives following a collision between a van and a truck in West Bengal’s Hooghly district on Wednesday, according to local authorities. The incident occurred at Kangsari More in the Gurap police station area during the morning hours as the four laborers were commuting to their workplace.
A police officer stated that the truck collided with the van, resulting in severe injuries to the workers. They were immediately rushed to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, where medical professionals unfortunately pronounced them dead.

The deceased individuals have been identified as Jeevandeep Baul Das (26), Mangaldeep Baul Das (32), Biswajit Roy (35), and Diwakar Singh (22). All four hailed from the Siyapur area of Gurap. To determine the cause of death, their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
