Four Construction Workers, Jeevandeep Baul Das, Mangaldeep Baul Das, Biswajit Roy, and Diwakar Singh, Killed in Truck Accident in West Bengal

Four construction workers have tragically lost their lives in a collision between a van and a truck in West Bengal’s Hooghly district. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at Kangsari More in the Gurap police station area. The victims, who were on their way to work, sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. Tragically, doctors declared them dead upon arrival.

The deceased have been identified as Jeevandeep Baul Das (26), Mangaldeep Baul Das (32), Biswajit Roy (35), and Diwakar Singh (22), all residents of Siyapur area in Gurap. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, as per police reports.

The collision took place when a truck crashed into the van carrying the labourers. It is not yet clear what caused the accident, but investigations are underway. The police officer at the scene revealed that the four workers were seriously injured upon impact, and despite efforts to save their lives, they couldn’t be revived.
