Charges against a man from New Jersey in connection with a robbery outside a Glenolden TD Bank have been dropped, with the condition that he pleads guilty to a single conspiracy charge. Quamire Parker, 19, was initially charged with robbery, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy for his alleged involvement in the attempted robbery last month. However, all charges were dismissed following a preliminary hearing. Deputy District Attorney Michael Hill and defense counsel Anna Hinchman reached an agreement to withdraw the charges of robbery, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy to robbery, with Parker pleading guilty to conspiracy to receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. Co-defendant Jahmeir Coleman, who also faces charges, is currently held in New Jersey on unrelated charges. According to prior police accounts, the incident occurred when a person picked up Parker in a car, and upon reaching their destination, the driver got out of the vehicle and attempted to take something from another person. The victim then shot at the driver, who got back in the car before the victim fired. The car was found with a bullet hole and blood inside. Parker allegedly refused to provide the driver’s name. Coleman, also known as Yhameir D. Walters, gave a different account, stating that he was with a friend named “Jack” who tried to grab a bag from the victim. Coleman was shot and sought medical attention at a nearby hospital. It is unclear when he will be transported to Pennsylvania. Parker is scheduled for formal arraignment in January. His bail has been reduced to $75,000 unsecured with a GPS monitor.
