Body of Missing Woman Britani Meek Found in Rural Yuma County

Britani Meek, a 25-year-old woman from eastern Colorado, has been found dead in rural Yuma County nearly a month after she was reported missing. Meek had informed her family members that she was traveling to Denver with an unknown person before she disappeared.

The Yuma Police Department received a report about Meek on October 25, stating that she was going to Denver to meet someone unidentified. Following this, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a missing endangered alert on October 31, expressing concerns for her safety as she had not been heard from since October 25.

On November 16, Meek’s car, a 1987 Blue Pontiac Bonneville, was discovered in rural Yuma County. Then, on November 22, a body was found. An autopsy was conducted on November 27, confirming the body to be that of Britani Meek. However, the cause of her death has not been disclosed.

The coroner revealed that Meek’s body was discovered during an ongoing search of the property, but the specific location was not disclosed. The investigation into her death is ongoing.
