Panchkula: A tragic road accident in the Panchkula industrial area claimed the life of a biker, identified as Sagar, and left his pillion rider with injuries. The incident occurred when a car collided with their motorcycle, dragging Sagar for several meters before the driver fled the scene.
According to Sagar’s brother, Deepak Kumar, Sagar was a mechanic who also worked part-time as a food delivery agent and offered bike taxi services. On the day of the accident, Sagar and a customer were heading towards Sector 14 when a speeding car coming from the Zirakpur side crashed into them. The impact caused the pillion rider to fall onto the road, while Sagar was dragged by the car.

The injured victims were rushed to the civil hospital, where Sagar was pronounced dead on arrival. The identity of the pillion rider remains uncertain, and they are currently undergoing treatment. The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and are investigating the case.
The incident highlights the dangers faced by bikers on the roads and the need for drivers to exercise caution and follow traffic rules. Hit-and-run accidents are a growing concern, as drivers often flee the scene to avoid legal consequences.
