Beloved Brooklyn grandmother Angelina Renita Parker shot and killed outside her home on Thanksgiving; person of interest arrested

Police have apprehended a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of a beloved grandmother in Brooklyn on Thanksgiving. Danny Daniel, 61, was arrested in Greenville, South Carolina, on Tuesday for allegedly shooting Angelina Renita Parker in the neck outside her home in the Brevoort Houses in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The 69-year-old victim was discovered lying on the ground outside her residence shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday. Neighbors followed a trail of blood, leading them to the side of her Bainbridge Street building. Parker, affectionately known as “Nita,” had lived in the Brevoort Houses her entire life and her tragic death has left family, friends, and neighbors in shock.
