Malden, Mass. – A man wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in New Hampshire was apprehended in Massachusetts on Tuesday. According to the Manchester Police Department, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Lowell Street in Manchester on November 18th. Shortly after, they were called back to the scene for a report of a shooting. Carlos Rodriguez, a 42-year-old man, was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Elliot Hospital.
Police identified 31-year-old Giovanne Morris as a suspect in the shooting. Members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force tracked Morris to an apartment on Kennedy Drive in Malden, Mass. When officers arrived, Morris attempted to evade arrest by jumping to the balcony of an adjacent apartment on the fifth floor. However, he was eventually taken into custody after police gained entry to the apartment.

Morris was arraigned in Malden District Court as a fugitive from justice, and arrangements were made for his extradition to New Hampshire. His last known address was in New Hampshire.
