Hunter, Raymond Seville Jr., Dies in Tragic Tree Stand Fire

Fulton County, Penn. – Tragedy struck in Pennsylvania when a hunter lost his life after being unable to escape his tree stand as it caught fire. The unfortunate incident occurred on November 25 on Gem Road in Belfast Township, Fulton County. The Fulton County Coroner’s office confirmed that the victim was 76-year-old Raymond Seville Jr., who succumbed to smoke inhalation.

According to authorities, Seville and his wife had entered the tree stand that morning for a hunting expedition. Seeking warmth, Seville decided to light a propane heater that was stored inside the stand. However, after several unsuccessful attempts to ignite the heater, flames suddenly engulfed the bottom of the device, causing panic.

Even though she bravely re-entered the burning tree stand, she was unable to free Seville due to the intense flames.
