A pedestrian was killed in a tragic accident after being struck by a tractor-trailer on a road in South Carolina, according to state troopers. The incident occurred on Black Tom Road near Cane Bay Boulevard in Moncks Corner. The semi truck, heading south, collided with the pedestrian at around 11 p.m. on November 27. The victim, identified as Eugene Kelly Jr., a 44-year-old resident of Summerville, was attempting to cross the road when the collision occurred. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who was the sole occupant, escaped without any injuries.
