Victim in Jacksonville Shooting Identified as Young Man in his 20s or 30s

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, November 25, off of Westmar Road. The victim, a young man in his 20s or 30s, was shot once in the abdomen and has been taken to a local hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.

According to the initial investigation, the victim was standing outside a residence when he was approached by the suspect. A dispute between the two ensued, leading to the suspect firing a single shot at the victim. After the shooting, the suspect fled the area.
