Two Persons, Including Teacher Reeta, Killed in Car Accident in North Delhi

Two people, including a teacher, were killed and three others were injured in a car accident in Alipur, north Delhi. The incident occurred when the victims were crossing the road. The deceased have been identified as Reeta, a 25-year-old teacher, and Satya Prakash, a 45-year-old petrol pump worker. Reeta’s relatives, Anita Devi, Yash (6), and Reena Devi, were among the injured.

The police received a call about the incident on November 23 and rushed to the scene. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. The police found a bumper, a vehicle number plate, a keypad mobile phone, and an abandoned white car 100 meters away from the accident spot. Sadly, Reeta was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to an eyewitness, Devi, she and her relatives were on their way back from a temple when the accident occurred. She stated that a speeding car hit them while they were crossing GT Road, suggesting that the driver may have lost control.

The police have registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and are investigating the incident. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the accident.

This tragic incident highlights the importance of road safety and the need for drivers to exercise caution while on the road. Pedestrians should also be vigilant and follow traffic rules when crossing roads to avoid such accidents.
