In a horrifying incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped and strangled to death in a village near Muzaffarpur. The accused, identified as Lal Babu, has been captured after the victim’s body was discovered buried in a farmland.
The tragic event unfolded when the child, accompanied by her parents, visited a relative’s house. Lal Babu, a 20-year-old man, sought permission from the girl’s mother to play with her. He then brought the child back. However, at around 10 pm, he took her away again without her mother’s consent, as reported by TOI.

Upon realizing the child’s absence, the family members launched a search. Unanswered calls to Lal Babu raised their concerns, leading them to report the matter to the police.
Muzaffarpur ASP (east) Shahriyar Akhtar stated that the girl’s lifeless body was discovered in a farmland, just 200 meters away from her relative’s residence, around midnight. With the help of locals, the police swiftly apprehended Lal Babu within a few hours.
In compliance with Supreme Court guidelines protecting the privacy of sexual assault victims, the identity of the young girl has not been disclosed.
This heinous crime has shocked the local community and sparked outrage across the region. Authorities have assured swift action and a thorough investigation to ensure justice for the victim and her family.
