A tragic incident occurred at a wedding party in Thailand on November 25, resulting in the death of four people, including the groom’s wife. The groom, identified as Chaturong Suksuk, was a former Paralympic athlete who had represented Thailand in swimming and shooting. The shooting took place in a village in the Wang Nam Khieo district of Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Chaturong, 29, had just married his bride, Kanchana Pachunthuek, that morning. The couple had been living together for three years before deciding to tie the knot. However, during the wedding party that evening, witnesses noticed that Chaturong appeared unhappy. He left the party momentarily and returned with a 9mm pistol, firing shots that killed his wife, her mother, and her younger sister. Two guests were also injured by stray bullets, and unfortunately, one of them passed away.

The police are currently investigating the motive behind the killings. Preliminary findings suggest that the couple had an argument during the party. Witnesses reported that Chaturong’s insecurities played a role in the dispute, as he feared his wife would leave him due to his disability. Chaturong had lost his right leg in an accident while serving as a former paramilitary ranger.

The tragedy comes shortly after Thai Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul signed an order to halt the issuance of gun licenses for a year. This decision was made in response to a recent surge in shootings in the Thai capital, aiming to reduce gun violence in the country.

The incident has shocked the local community, with many expressing their condolences to the victims’ families. The news of the wedding party turning into a scene of violence has deeply saddened the nation. The Thai authorities are determined to investigate the incident thoroughly and provide justice for the victims.
