Medical Student Sahil Saraswat Found Dead with Severe Head Injuries in UP College Hostel

A 25-year-old medical student was discovered dead with severe head injuries on Sunday in a private medical college hostel in Bithoor, Kanpur. The student, identified as Sahil Saraswat from Mathura, was in his second year of studying MBBS.

The body of Saraswat was found near the staircase in the morning, prompting an immediate investigation by the police. Two deep injury marks were observed on his head, leading law enforcement officials to consider whether the incident was a murder or an accident.

Anand Prakash Tiwari, the Joint Commissioner of Police for Law and Order, stated that a panel of three doctors will conduct the post-mortem examination. To ensure transparency, Tiwari has instructed that the entire autopsy process be recorded on video.

When Commissioner of Police RK Swarnkar and DCP West Vijay Dhull arrived at the hostel, they discovered Saraswat’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.
