Investigation underway after young man shot in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, November 25, off of Westmar Road in Jacksonville, Florida. The victim, a young man in his 20s or 30s, was shot in the abdomen and has been transported to a local hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening.

According to the initial investigation conducted by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO), the victim was standing outside a residence when he was approached by the suspect. A dispute ensued between the two individuals, resulting in the suspect shooting the victim once in the abdomen. After the shooting, the suspect fled the area.
