BHOPAL: A 23-year-old student from Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, who was studying in the US, has tragically died from a mysterious illness while on a trip to Brazil. Navjot Singh, a native of Netwas village, was visiting Brazil with some friends when he fell severely ill. Despite being admitted to a hospital, Navjot could not be saved, and he passed away. One of his university mates from Chandigarh, named Deep, is also in critical condition.

Navjot had recently enrolled in a BBA program at the University of California and was accompanied by his university peers on a 10-day trip to Brazil. It remains unclear what caused Navjot’s illness or why he died. His family, devastated by the loss, is seeking help from the Indian government to repatriate his body back to his hometown.

Navjot’s father, Sher Singh Sardar, is a local Congress leader, and the family is in shock over the sudden tragedy. The loss of their son has left them searching for answers and closure.
