Retired Vice-Principal Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident in Khajuri Khas
A tragic incident occurred in Khajuri Khas, Delhi, as a 60-year-old retired vice-principal of a government school lost his life in a hit-and-run accident. Satpal Singh was out for his regular morning walk when he was allegedly hit by an unidentified vehicle on Wednesday.

The police received a distress call at 6:17 am reporting a man lying dead with severe facial injuries. Upon arrival, the police discovered the lifeless body of Satpal Singh, who lived with his family in Khajuri Khas and worked at a school in Molarband. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
According to the police, initial investigations suggest that Singh was hit by a heavy vehicle, which then fled the scene. Passersby who witnessed the incident rushed to help, but it was too late. The victim’s head was severely crushed, and blood was visible at the scene.
Authorities are currently scanning nearby CCTV footage to identify the suspected vehicle and the route taken by the driver to escape. So far, no CCTV evidence has been found at the scene of the crime.
A case has been registered under sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. Multiple teams have been formed to crack the case, and the victim’s family has been informed about the incident.
