However, lawyers for Nobu have hit back, stating that the hostess is to blame for the harassment she experienced. In court papers seen by DailyMail.com, the restaurant’s legal team argues that she “approved, authorised, acquiesced, consented to, caused or ratified the conduct alleged in the complaint.” They are seeking to dismiss the case and have the hostess pay their legal fees, along with compensation.

This is not the first time De Niro has faced legal troubles related to harassment. Earlier this year, he was successfully sued by his former assistant for gender discrimination and sexual harassment. Nobu, which has more than 50 restaurants worldwide, is denying all of Jane Doe’s allegations and arguing that they are not liable for any damages. The restaurant is asking for the case to be dismissed, as well as seeking payment for their legal expenses.
