John Brumbelow of Martin, Georgia identified as victim in fatal vehicle versus pedestrian accident.

Authorities have identified the person who was killed in a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The incident took place on Thursday evening in the vicinity of Bullsboro Drive near Celebrate Life Parkway. According to officials, a red Chevrolet Colorado was heading east when it collided with a pedestrian.

Reports indicate that the victim, John Brumbelow from Martin, Georgia, was walking on a section of Bullsboro Drive that lacked roadway lighting and a designated crosswalk. Troopers have stated that Brumbelow, aged 58, failed to yield to the oncoming Colorado before being struck. He was subsequently rushed to Piedmont Newnan Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office has informed his next of kin.

Regrettably, this marks the second fatal pedestrian accident to occur in this area of Bullsboro Drive this year. In March, a 46-year-old woman from Alabama lost her life after being hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross Bullsboro Drive near Red Roof Inn.

Pedestrian safety continues to be a concern in this region, and authorities are urging both drivers and pedestrians to remain vigilant. It is essential for pedestrians to utilize marked crosswalks and for drivers to be aware of pedestrians and yield to them when necessary.
