Tension continues to mount in the Ojo area of Lagos state as clashes between members of the Eiye and Aiye confraternities persist. A recent report has revealed that these clashes have resulted in the brutal killing of a top cult leader known as Shulee.
The ongoing clashes between the rival cult groups have been going on for several months, causing significant tension within the community. The situation has raised concerns among residents and authorities as the violence shows no sign of abating.

According to reports from Daily Trust, Shulee, who was the second-in-command of the Eiye confraternity in Ojo, was allegedly hacked to death by members of a rival group over the weekend. His head was reportedly severed and sent to the Eiye camp as a sign of dominance and authority by the rival gang.
Residents of the community have expressed fear and anxiety following the announcement of Shulee’s death. The leaders of the Alaba International Market have advised traders to avoid staying out late to ensure their safety.
The Lagos state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that he was not aware of the killing. However, the escalating violence between the cult groups has raised concerns about the security situation in the area.
This incident in Ojo is not an isolated case. In a related report, Legit.ng highlighted a recent resurgence of cult clashes in Sagamu, Ogun state. The clashes resulted in the death of one person, and the Department of State Security Services (DSS) arrested a member of the Ogun state house of assembly, Damilare Mohammed, along with six others in connection with the violence.
