Three individuals have been apprehended by the Ondo State Police Command in connection with the murder of Mrs Iyanuoluwa Adamolekun in Arigidi Akoko. The suspects, identified as Oluwaseun, Mobarak, and Rilwan, were arrested following the discovery of the deceased’s lifeless body by her grandchild. It is alleged that the suspects broke into Adamolekun’s room while she was sleeping and also stole her mobile phone.
The police were able to locate the phone, leading to the arrest of one of the suspects who then assisted in apprehending the others involved. According to a source, Mobarak and Rilwan confessed that they climbed over the fence to avoid making noise. Once inside the house, they went directly to the victim’s room where she was lying on her bed after bathing. They admitted to using a wooden box to strike her head, while the second suspect strangled her as she screamed.

Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the arrests and stated that the suspects are currently in custody. Further details of the investigation were not provided at this time.
