A man has been arrested in Nashville, Tennessee, after allegedly shooting at a vehicle on Briley Parkway. The suspect, Douglas-Alberto Angel-Castillo, has been charged with attempted criminal homicide. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the victim called 911, reporting that he was being shot at.
According to the arrest report from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the victim was driving on Briley Parkway South from Gallatin Pike when he noticed another vehicle trying to cut him off while merging. In an attempt to prevent the dangerous maneuver, the victim honked his horn. However, he soon heard five loud “pops” that turned out to be gunshots. One of the bullets struck just below the driver’s side window.

As the victim sped away, the suspect allegedly fired at the vehicle once again, this time hitting the rear bumper. The victim managed to escape unharmed and immediately alerted the authorities.
After investigation, Angel-Castillo was identified as the alleged shooter and subsequently apprehended. When questioned by the police, he claimed that he fired at the vehicle because the victim had thrown a water bottle at him during a traffic altercation.
The incident has raised concerns about road rage and the potential dangers that can arise from confrontation on the roads. It serves as a reminder for drivers to remain calm and avoid engaging in aggressive behavior while behind the wheel.
