Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist killed in Rajouri encounter
A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, according to a statement by a defence spokesman. The encounter, which took place on Wednesday, resulted in the deaths of four Army personnel, including two captains of special forces, and left two others injured.

Fresh firing resumed on Thursday morning in the Bajimaal area of Dharmsal belt after an overnight halt. Additional security forces were deployed to ensure that the terrorists involved in the encounter could not escape from the highly forested area.
During the firing, a Pakistani terrorist identified as Quari was killed. The spokesman described him as a hardcore terrorist who had received training on the Pakistan and Afghan front. Quari was a highly ranked leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba and had been active in the Rajouri-Poonch region for the past year. He was believed to be the mastermind behind the Dangri and Kandi attacks. Additionally, he was an expert in improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The encounter comes after a series of attacks in the region, including the killing of seven civilians in the Dangri area in January this year.
The security forces have been working tirelessly to combat terrorism in the region, and this successful encounter marks a significant victory in their efforts.
