Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist killed in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district
A Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist was killed on Thursday in an encounter with security forces in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, according to a defense spokesman. The encounter had taken place on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of four Army personnel, including two special forces captains, and injuring two others.

Fresh firing resumed in the Bajimaal area of Dharmsal belt on Thursday morning after an overnight halt. The area was cordoned off with additional security forces deployed to prevent the terrorists from escaping the highly forested area. In the firing, one Pakistani terrorist, identified as Quari, was killed. The defense spokesman described him as a hardcore terrorist and a highly ranked leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba who had received training on the Pakistan and Afghan fronts.
The Pakistani terrorist had been active in the Rajouri-Poonch region for the past year and was believed to be the mastermind behind the Dangri and Kandi attacks. He was sent to revive terrorism in the area and was known for his expertise in IEDs. In January of this year, seven civilians were killed in an attack in Dangri.
The encounter and subsequent killing of the LeT terrorist is a significant success for the security forces in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. The region has witnessed a rise in terrorist activities in recent years, threatening the peace and stability of the area.
