A top leader of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) from Pakistan was killed in a recent clash between terrorists and security forces in the Bajimaal area of Rajouri district’s Dharmsal. The deceased terrorist, known as Quari, was a Pakistani citizen who had received training in both Pakistan and Afghanistan, as confirmed by a defense spokesperson.
The spokesperson further stated that Quari held a high rank within LeT and was considered a highly skilled leader. He had been active in Rajouri and Poonch districts for about a year, collaborating with other members of the outfit. Quari’s main intention for coming to the region was to revive terrorist activities. He possessed expertise in handling improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and was also trained as a sniper. It is believed that he was the mastermind behind the recent attacks in Dangri and Kandi.

This encounter took place just one day after two Army officers and two soldiers were martyred. In response to specific intelligence, joint forces of the Army and Jammu and Kashmir police were deployed in the Kalakote Area, Gulabgarh Forest, and Rajouri district. The area was completely cordoned off to prevent any possibility of the terrorists escaping. It was during this operation that the top LeT leader, Quari, was successfully neutralized.
The killing of Quari marks a significant achievement for the security forces in their ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
