Deonte Carnell Taylor Charged with Capital Murder in Triple Homicide Case

An 18-year-old has been charged with capital murder following a shooting and car crash that resulted in the deaths of three people in Tunica County. Deonte Carnell Taylor, a resident of Tunica, was charged with three counts of capital murder, four counts of shooting into a motor vehicle, and four counts of conspiracy to commit a crime.

The incident occurred on November 10, when a burnt and bullet-riddled car was discovered on Casino Center Drive. The victims were identified as 23-year-old Steven Burts, 24-year-old Deshun Isabell, and 25-year-old Tednequa Moore. Moore was pregnant at the time of her death, leading to the pursuit of capital murder charges. Capital murder carries a potential sentence of life imprisonment or the death penalty in Mississippi.
