According to the police, they were involved in a string of crimes including murders, extortion, robberies, and attempted murders in Delhi, Haryana, and other states. Jasbir, their associate, has also been arrested in connection with the case.

The operation was carried out by a team led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sanjay Dutt. The Special Commissioner, HGS Dhaliwal, revealed that the two suspects had a collective reward of Rs 3.5 lakh on their heads. Their kingpin, Bhau, had fled to Portugal on a forged passport and has been running the gang from there, in collaboration with gangsters Neeraj and the Bambiha syndicate.

According to Additional Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah, the accused were involved in a shooting incident in which a man named Hitesh was fatally wounded. The shooting took place at an office in Chanchal Park on February 27. The investigation revealed that the motive behind the shooting was extortion, as Hitesh’s father had received threatening calls due to his cable business.

Police received information that the accused would be meeting their associates in Chhawla, leading to the operation. The police team spotted three suspects on a motorcycle and tried to stop them, but they attempted to flee and lost control of their bike. When asked to surrender, the suspects opened fire, and the police team fired back in self-defense, injuring two of the suspects. The third suspect was also apprehended. Thankfully, due to their bulletproof jackets, none of the police officers were injured.
