Brutal Stabbing in Delhi: 17-Year-Old Victim Savagely Attacked 60 Times by 16-Year-Old Assailant

A shocking incident took place in Delhi’s Northeast area, where a 16-year-old boy brutally stabbed a 17-year-old victim at least 60 times. The horrifying murder, which was captured on CCTV cameras, involved the suspect attempting to slice through the victim’s neck, kicking his head, and dragging his blood-soaked body around a narrow bylane.

The suspect, who had dropped out of school, was arrested on Wednesday morning and has been charged with murder. It was revealed that the boy was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the attack. Sadly, the victim, a resident of nearby Jafrabad, could not survive the assault.

According to the police, the two boys did not know each other, and the incident began when the suspect approached the victim, asking for ₹350 to buy biryani. When the victim refused, a scuffle ensued, leading the assailant to choke the boy until he lost consciousness.

The CCTV footage revealed that the incident occurred around 10:20 pm on Tuesday. The suspect dragged the lifeless body into the bylane and continued to mercilessly stab the victim’s neck, ears, and face. Shockingly, the attacker even paused at times to look around before resuming his brutal assault.

After stabbing the boy around 30 times, the suspect broke into a hysterical dance for a few seconds. Despite some residents attempting to intervene, they were scared away by the violent scene. The suspect fled the scene with ₹350 in cash, leaving the boy for dead. Local residents rushed the victim to GTB Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Joy Tirkey revealed that the two boys were complete strangers before the incident occurred. The suspect, who was intoxicated during the assault, is now in police custody.

The DCPCR member, Ranjana Prasad, stated that the commission would intervene in the case to provide counseling for the suspect. Factors such as a lack of education and a challenging home environment will be taken into consideration during the process. This tragic incident has once again highlighted the need for addressing such issues and providing support to vulnerable individuals in society.
