Arrest made in Seaforth shooting and car chase incident, Karley Frayer apprehended

Police have apprehended the second suspect involved in a shooting and car chase incident in Seaforth last month. The individual, identified as 34-year-old Karley Frayer from Huron East, was wanted by authorities after fleeing the scene of the crime.

The incident occurred on October 18, when officers from the Huron County OPP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in Seaforth. They located the vehicle and began pursuing it in an unmarked police car. The chase eventually led them to a residence in Seaforth, where they confronted the suspects.

During the altercation, officers shot and injured a 35-year-old suspect who was inside the stolen vehicle. The wounded suspect was later dropped off at Clinton Public Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, Frayer managed to escape in the stolen vehicle and collided with another car before abandoning it.

Authorities suspected that Frayer had sustained injuries as a result of the crash. After weeks of investigation, on November 23, the Huron County OPP, along with the Perth County OPP and the Stratford Police Service, confirmed on X (formerly Twitter) that Frayer had been located and arrested.

The arrest was celebrated as a significant breakthrough in the ongoing investigation, and law enforcement agencies expressed their gratitude for the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspect. The authorities are now working to gather further evidence and build a strong case against both suspects involved in the incident.
