Killeen Police Investigating Deadly Shooting

Killeen, Texas – A man has lost his life in a shooting incident that occurred on Friday night in Killeen. Local authorities were alerted to the incident at around 11:31 p.m. and responded promptly to the scene on Watercrest Road.

The victim, identified as 43-year-old Jamal Rasheed Williams, was found with a gunshot wound upon the officers’ arrival. Immediate action was taken by the police as they began administering life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Williams was then rushed to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition. Additionally, a 38-year-old woman was also involved and was transported to Seton by private vehicle. Thankfully, she is currently in stable condition.

Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical professionals, Williams succumbed to his injuries at 12:08 a.m. on Saturday. Justice of the Peace Nicola James has ordered an autopsy to shed light on the exact cause of death.
