Two People Killed in Separate Road Accidents in Assam

One person has died and two others were injured in a road accident in Mangaldoi, Assam. Another person also lost their life in a separate road accident in Dergaon.

The first accident occurred on National Highway 15 in Mangaldoi when a speeding truck collided with a motorcycle carrying three Class nine students who were on their way to tuition classes. Sadly, one student died on the spot, while the other two sustained severe injuries. The deceased has been identified as Rafiqul Islam, and the injured students have been identified as Abdul Ghani and Rajidul Haq. They have been rushed to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.

In the second accident near the Dergaon bus stand, two individuals riding a motorcycle were struck by a speeding vehicle, resulting in their immediate deaths. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established.

Road accidents continue to be a major concern in Assam, with numerous lives lost and injuries sustained every year. Authorities are constantly urging drivers to adhere to traffic rules and exercise caution while on the road to prevent such tragic incidents.
