Swechchhasebak League Leader Shahadat Hossain Killed in Chattogram

A local man has been arrested following the murder of a Swechchhasebak League leader in Satkania upazila of Chattogram. The victim, identified as Shahadat Hossain, was the general secretary of Chhadaha union Swechchhasebak League and owned a confectionery shop in Mithadighi Bazar.

According to the police, Shahadat was stabbed to death by Md Tarek, with whom he had a previous enmity. The incident occurred last night when Tarek went to Shahadat’s shop and an altercation ensued. The situation escalated, leading to a scuffle between the two men, during which Tarek fatally stabbed Shahadat.

Eyewitnesses and locals reported the incident to the police, who promptly arrested Tarek. The officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station, Priton Sarkar, confirmed the arrest and stated that Shahadat’s body was taken to Satkania Upazila Health Complex, where he was pronounced dead.

The news of Shahadat’s murder has shocked the local community, as he was an active member of the Swechchhasebak League. Members of the community expressed their condolences and called for justice to be served.

The police are currently investigating the case and gathering evidence. They are also interviewing witnesses to gather more information about the incident.
