Man Arrested in Stabbing of Amazon Warehouse Employee in Mission Viejo Identified as Andrew Ariel Alfaro

A 29-year-old man from Santa Ana has been arrested on suspicion of stabbing a female employee at an Amazon warehouse in Mission Viejo. The suspect, identified as Andrew Ariel Alfaro, works for a delivery service that partners with the online retailer to transport packages. He has been booked on charges of attempted murder after the alleged attack on the 48-year-old employee, who is currently in critical condition.

Authorities have described Alfaro as a “delivery associate” employed by a delivery service partner of Amazon. The motive for the attack and any potential relationship between the suspect and the victim remain under investigation.

The incident took place at the Amazon facility on Jeronimo Road, and deputies responded to reports of a stabbing shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim had sustained multiple stab wounds to her upper torso and was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Alfaro was apprehended in the facility’s parking lot, where he surrendered to authorities. A knife, believed to be the weapon used in the attack, was reportedly recovered at the scene.
