Two individuals accused of operating high-end brothels in Massachusetts and Eastern Virginia are scheduled to appear in court today. The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts recently announced the dismantling of the brothel network, which allegedly catered to clientele including elected officials, high-tech executives, doctors, military officers, and others.

Han Lee, 41, from Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Junmyung Lee, 30, from Dedham, Massachusetts, are set to appear in court, while James Lee, 68, from Torrance, California, remains under investigation. According to charging documents, the suspects have been operating an interstate prostitution network since at least July 2020, with brothels in Cambridge and Watertown, Massachusetts, as well as Fairfax and Tysons, Virginia.

The US Attorney’s Office stated that the defendants established a network of brothels in multiple states, enticing primarily Asian women to travel to Massachusetts and Virginia for prostitution. The suspects allegedly rented high-end apartment complexes for their operations, paying up to $3,664 in rent and maintaining the units regularly.

The suspects advertised their network online, disguising their activities as professional photography appointments with nude Asian models. Federal prosecutors revealed that clients paid between $350 and $600 per hour for various services.

Although only three individuals have been charged so far, prosecutors mentioned that other men identified as clients could also face charges in the future.

The case highlights the organized nature of the alleged prostitution network, involving multiple states and targeting specific demographics. The charges against the suspects demonstrate the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combatting human trafficking and illegal sex trade.
