Bus Supervisor Crushed to Death on Dhaka-Aricha Highway
A tragic accident occurred on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar yesterday evening, resulting in the death of a bus supervisor. The victim, identified as Obaidul Islam, 29, was crushed under the bus while he was picking up passengers.

Obaidul Islam, a resident of Jamalpur district, worked as a supervisor at Rajdhani Paribahan. The incident took place around 4:30 pm near the Hemayetpur Bus-Stand area. According to Abdul Khaleq, sub-inspector of Savar Highway Police Station, the bus had stopped at Hemayetpur Bus Stand, and Obaidul got off to assist passengers.
Tragically, as Obaidul was helping passengers, the bus driver suddenly started driving, causing him to come under one of the back wheels of the bus. He died on the spot due to the severity of his injuries. The police arrived at the scene and seized the bus, but the driver managed to escape.
The news of the accident spread quickly, leaving the local community in shock and mourning. Obaidul was a well-liked and respected member of the community, known for his dedication to his work and his friendly nature.
