33-year-old Kevin Skaj Identified as Suspect in Ongoing Search for Armed Suspects in Natrona County

CASPER, Wyo. — Police have identified one suspect in the ongoing search for two individuals who fled from law enforcement on Wednesday morning. The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office released a statement stating that the male suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Kevin Skaj from Natrona County, Wyoming. Skaj is wanted for several nonviolent crimes unrelated to this incident.

The second suspect is described as a White or Hispanic female with black hair that falls to her jaw. She was last seen wearing a plaid or orange poncho and may be carrying a purse.

On Wednesday morning at approximately 9:20 a.m., law enforcement officers located a stolen vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the suspects fled, leading to a pursuit that ended in the Antelope Hills area, just north of Bar Nunn on the east side of Interstate 25.

The suspects then fled on foot, prompting a public alert for the surrounding area. Initially, there were reports that a firearm may have been inside the stolen vehicle. However, it was later determined that there was no firearm present at the time of the theft.

Despite this, the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office continues to advise Antelope Hills residents to remain vigilant and avoid approaching the suspects if spotted. Law enforcement will continue to investigate the incident and maintain a presence in the area.

Anyone with information that may aid the investigation is urged to call 911 to report it. The search for the second suspect is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working diligently to ensure the safety of the community.
